Welcome to Frank Neutzling's Portfolio

Unfortunately this site requires Javascript and does not (on purpose) support Internet Explorer (have you heard Microsoft dropped support?). It is a developer's portfolio after all! What would be the fun in 25% of the site working?

Skills & Software

What I'm doing is always changing, but some of the skills and software I regularly use are...

    Mobile Development

    Powering on...

    mobile phone

    Hero Drop

Released for iOS and Android (2013-2014)

Hero Drop was a continuation of Newtonian Falldown released with predefined level layouts. I wrote a Photoshop script that let me place objects in Photoshop and export the level assets as raw data.

    Descent Developer 2.0

    Never Officially Released (2015-2016)

This app was a continuation of 1.0 which cleaned up the item creation process. Unfortunately, I discovered that the company behind Descent had a habit of legal action for developers making apps based off of their properties, so I canned further Descent development.

    Descent Developer 1.0

    Never Officially Released (2014-2015)

I really love board games. Descent developer was a helper app that I built for a series of board games by Fantasy Flight games. There was a custom dice roller among other gadgets added to the app. Building a dice roller in 2d was a challenge.

    Newtonian Falldown

    Released for Android (2011)

Newtownian Falldown was an early app made in conjunction with another developer. We released the app and hit over 10,000 downloads in the first few weeks. Unfortunately, time, and diverging interests kept us from continuing the app together. Years later I'd release an updated version of Newtonian Falldown I called Hero Drop.
